Well, I'm staying in Dortmund! And so is Sis. Lehman!
No one saw that coming. Really. Which is why I remembered to take some pictures this week.
I'm way tired and my whole body hurts, so nothing has changed there!
We met a way cool member this week. She doesn't come to church because of her depression, so we read in the scriptures together. She's great. We're going to help her come to some activities.
This week someone we've been working with texted us and asked us if we could bless her daughter's room? We didn't know what that meant, so we called and she explained that she tried some magic things in her house, and since then her daughter has woken up screaming at night. We had the elders come with us and we dedicated her house through prayer. It was a really powerful experience--no force on Earth is as powerful as God.
We're helping a woman to quit smoking and have been for a while, and she finally started this week. Tuesday morning she forgot she had planned to start and went to smoke her first cigarette, and she heard a voice say something like, "What are you doing? Stop that right now!" She instantly flushed all her tobacco and threw out all her matches and paper. She's gone a whole week now!
Here it is, guys: It doesn't matter how little life experience I have, or what bits of church history I haven't heard before, or whether I've ever gone through X thing personally. The message of the gospel will help you. It will bring peace into your heart and teach you to turn to your God in your times of trials. And no earthly experience is worth more than that.
I love you all! Keep on keepin' on!
